3) Since Atkins’ Diet recommends consumption of animal protein, vegetarians find it difficult to adopt the diet.

4) According to the American Heart Association, high protein diets are not adequate for weight loss.

Atkin’s diets can cause nutritional deficiencies and other cholesterol related problems in the long run.

Some experts believe that high-protein foods may lead to various health problems, including osteoporosis, colon cancer, heart diseases and renal diseases.

The best way to reduce weight is to avoid anything that will be a source of excess calories while still being conscious about what you do eat.

Taking a healthy diet is very important, especially if you want to lose weight. You should primarily take a diet that contains essential nutrients (such as vitamins, minerals, proteins and fibers). Eating food with high levels of fats are also not recommended.
